As the temperature soars in summer, so does your electricity bill.

Power consumption in most Indian middle-class homes has risen considerably because of the increased dependence on electric gadgets and appliances such as air-conditioners, dishwashers, ovens, blenders, juicers, mixers, vacuum cleaners, geysers, hair dryers, etc. At the same time, the cost per unit of power has also increased. The result: steep electricity bills.
